Football at the heart of our community

Founded in 1977 and named after Moyne Castle, just north of Headford on the Galway–Mayo border, Moyne Villa Football Club has grown from humble beginnings into a modern sports and recreation facility.

Our facilities include a seven-a-side artificial playing surface and two high-quality natural pitches used in the Galway Football League. The artificial pitch is available to the public, making it easy for friends, families and local teams to enjoy football together.

The club hosted the Galway round of the Connacht Juvenile Finals in 2014. We were also awarded the FAI Club Mark Entry Level badge in 2021 and Club Mark One in 2022, recognising our continued development and commitment to high standards.
